Member Types

- As a Cooperating member if you are the original owner of the works or recordings

- Beneficiary Member: if you subsequently acquired ownership of the works or recordings from the original owner.


Registration process

- The registration process can be done on this portal. 

- For individuals or legal entities (registered companies, associations, etc.)

- The portal user may request registration in his/her own name or on behalf of a third party.

Membership requirements (non-cumulative)

- Be a Cape Verdean citizen or with habitual residence in Cape Verde or a legal person based in Cape Verde.

  Have your musical work published for the first time in Cape Verde, regardless of your nationality and country of residence.

  As a non-resident foreigner, the conventions to which Cape Verde has adhered can be applied to your musical work.

- Ownership by succession, transfer or other acquisitive title, regardless of nationality or residence.

- Individuals or legal entities, producers and publishers of musical works.

- Holder who has assigned his work to the management of similar companies and wants to entrust SCM with the management of the same work in Cape Verde.


Required documents

- Have your tax number and a scanned copy of the following documents at hand:

- Identification document of those involved

- In the case of a legal entity (company, association) I have a copy of the commercial certificate.

- If you are representing a third party, a power of attorney or supporting document is required

- In the case of a beneficiary member, proof of ownership is required (title, deed, contract, etc.)

- In the case of a beneficiary member, it is necessary to scan proof of ownership (title, deed, contract, etc.)
